About the event
With the first SwissPropTech Meet Up at Romandie we wanted to strengthen our western PropTech community. To make this happen we chose the Gotham Co-Workingspace as our event location right next to the train station at Lausanne. Beside networking we talked about our missions - how to innovate the real estate industry.
Article in english On 17 October, the first SwissPropTech-Meetup took place in Romandy. The gathering took place in the Gotham Coworking Space near the Lausanne train station. Several start-ups, investors and representatives of established companies came together for the premiere in the french-speaking part of Switzerland. SwissPropTech network operator Mario Facchinetti greeted the guests on the occasion, which had been initiated with the support of SPG Intercity. The following panel discussion with Jerome Ramelet from eSmart Technologies SA and Bertrand Maag MRICS from SPG Intercity Geneva showed the opportunities and risks of the current PropTech market for Swiss companies. The participants agreed that new digital applications, services and solutions for the real estate industry will only be successful if these are cross-border and cross-linguistic. In order to accelerate the international exchange in the PropTech industry, SwissPropTech is also organizing another event with the relevant players in the Netherlands this autumn (November 22+23). Mario Facchinetti announced for 2018 another SwissPropTech-Meetup in Romandy. Details will be announced right on time.
